OUTREACH

*Check our webpage and/or sign out front for dates and times for any events you are interested in or call the church office for more information. *

Monthly Regional Food Bank Deliveries:  Our church is a partner in the Food Bank that operates out of the local First Baptist Church on the 2nd Tuesday of every month at 8:30 a.m.  We help pack up food and then deliver the food to people in the community.  The Food Bank is always in need of volunteers to help with the process.  If you would like to help, call the church office or come to the First Baptist Church on Food Bank day.

Davis Public Schools Teacher Luncheon: Every year we feed all the Davis School teachers with a luncheon during the first week that the teachers return to school.  We love our teachers and appreciate them so much and this is our way of showing that appreciation and love.

Christmas Food Basket Program: Every December we put together bags of groceries that include 50-60 lbs of food.  We distribute to approximately 60 needy families in the community.  We have teams of church members that go out to distribute on the Saturday before Christmas.  If you would like to be involved in this ministry, please contact the office for more information.

Tuesday Table: Each Tuesday evening in December we provide a meal for the community.  We know how hectic December can be so we want to provide one night a week that people can come get a meal, sit down and relax.  This is our way to show the community that we care about everyone.  Watch our webpage in December for dates and times.

Christmas Eve: Each Christmas Eve we have a drop-in communion service for the community.

Easter Events:  We have a traditional event that we put on at Easter called “Walk to the Cross”.    This is a live staging of Jesus’s journey to the cross during the Holy Week.  We also have an event called “Come to the Table” that we alternate some years with the Walk to the Cross.  This event is a live interpretation of the Last Supper.   We would love to have you visit us at Easter to witness these events.

Good Samaritan: We have a fund set up that operates strictly off donations that are specifically made to that fund.  Once a week we provide food vouchers to those in the community that need some assistance with food.
